Project Overview

ATG delivered the MACS Modular Fleet program, installing 20 modular classrooms across five metropolitan Melbourne schools within a constrained holiday shutdown period.

ATG was engaged to deliver a multi-site modular classroom program across Croydon, Tarneit, Ringwood, Parkdale and Vermont, comprising the installation of 20 modules across five metropolitan school sites within a tightly constrained Christmas holiday shutdown window.

A construction-led delivery approach was adopted, underpinned by detailed pre-installation planning and risk mitigation across all sites. This included comprehensive site inspections, RL verification, coordination of existing services and close consultation with school stakeholders to determine optimal building locations and access strategies.

The program required careful logistics planning to manage multiple live school sites concurrently within strict timeframes. Crane positions, truck access routes and installation sequencing were meticulously planned and coordinated to ensure safe, efficient and disruption-free delivery.

Modules were installed using a combination of 80-tonne mobile cranes and Franna cranes, enabling precise placement and alignment in line with each school’s operational requirements. Dedicated installation teams were deployed across all sites, ensuring consistency in quality, safety compliance and programme certainty.

All facilities were delivered ahead of the new school year and were fully operational for Day 1, Term 1 2026, reinforcing ATG’s ability to deliver complex modular programs with certainty and minimal disruption.
