The redesign of Post Office Square introduces a new food and retail hub that stands apart from anything else in Brisbane’s CBD. ATG’s scope of work encompassed a complete reconfiguration of the tenancy layout, significant mechanical upgrades to support new food retailers, and enhancements to vertical connectivity and accessibility.

The project posed several challenges, particularly with the need to relocate existing tenants, refurbish common areas, and create new tenancies, all while maintaining a live pedestrian environment and without any closure of the space. This approach was driven by the need for a rapid market response, the ability to initiate early works, conduct demolition, and establish a tenancy core structure to support leasing—all before the final design was completed.

During these early works, ATG also conducted comprehensive testing of the building’s infrastructure and services, helping to minimize risks in the final design and pricing stages.
